Future
The thing that usually keeps me going is just thinking of the future. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad. It’s the future- I want to get there, just to see what it’s like. If it sucks, whatever. At least I will have made it.
If you make it to the next hour, next week, next month, next year, etc. you’ve earned it. You’ve lived. Lived just til that moment....
Passion
The world has turned to a mentality where dreaming is not even an option anymore, where dreaming is for fools, where dreaming results in failures. The phrase “you can be anything you want” has been countered with “no you cannot” and “give it up”, where people think that if they dream and struggle to achieve those dreams, reality will be right there to bite them in the...

Trying to make a baby? Or maybe unwind after a hard days work of being a hipster? I’ve become a fan of these fusion batches by DJ Morse Code. It reminds me of the early days of 28th Street… Riding a fixed gear was still exciting, slowly moving my head to Soma FM’s Groove Salad while I sank into the mattress, briefly waking up to it again at 5:30am because of the trash trucks and...
How did I earn my first wealth?
I love spammers…. This was sent to me the other day. I love how they’ve graduated from “Hello dear old friend” to third grade-level essays about their supposed wealth. Fantastic.
From our dear spamming friend:

In nowadays, online shopping has become a trend among people. Because of the interest, I also want to open an...
Laughter
A smile or laughter isn’t always something that you can control. I always felt it kind of unified people in a way. For example, two groups merge at Rubicon (or any social event) and suddenly you are unfamiliar with 40% of the people at the table- sharing a laugh seems to bring everyone closer and make them more relaxed. There is a part of me that finds actual laughter very odd. But going...

Short Films and the Exploratorium, Part 2
Continued from “Short Films and the Exploratorium, Part 1”
….
After searching for almost an entire day, my prayers were answered. Through craigslist, I was able to find someone selling their copy of Final Cut Pro. Since I had started taking a class (I say started because I left after two weeks because of other classes) on how to use Final Cut Pro back in 2008, I figured that I...

Short Films and the Exploratorium, Part 1
During the summer of 2009, I began working at the Exploratorium, San Francisco, as a High School Explainer. At the same time, the Sacramento Film and Music Festival’s 10x10 Filmmaker’s Challenge was about to begin. The 10x10 Filmmaker’s challenge is a yearly event that was started in 2004. Every year, filmmakers meet at a predetermined location and receive a theme as well as props and/or visual...
What is love?
What is love? I used to say to myself it was created by peoples imagination to convey a feeling. Some using it more freely than others made the word seem practically meaningless. You can say it about a song, to your cat, to your uncle (actually that might be a little creepy). But what about the love between a couple. I guess you could say it’s just lust, and maybe you like some of the same...
